Mérieux NutriSciences France creates the largest food microbiology analysis laboratory in Europe dedicated to the food industry

It is in La Flèche (Sarthe) that the activity of the largest food microbiology analysis laboratory in Europe has just started. Mérieux NutriSciences France dedicates these 2,800 m2 of laboratory to the service of agrifood companies, with the objective of continuous improvement and quality at all levels: quality of samples of raw materials, ingredients or finished products, research for pathogens or any quality issue related to the manufacturing process. Thus, the lab offers a wide range of tests, services and advice, from farm to fork!

Agri-food players such as Pasquier, Sodexo, Charal or even LDC are among Mérieux NutriSciences customers and this new lab should expand its list, not only with the many agri-food companies in Brittany, the cradle of the food industry where it takes place. the CFIA show, but also throughout the Great West.

The lab now has about fifteen employees but recruitments are planned with a workforce that should reach more than 150 people by 2027.
